Ivan Eugene Reener

Ivan Eugene Reener, 78, of Butler, IL, died Tuesday, August 2, 2022 in Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Taylor Springs, IL.

Ivan was the son of Roy Orin & Myron Edna (Cloud) Reener.

He married Sonna Sue Matthews on August 6, 1965. She preceded him on September 18, 1995.

Mr. Reener was a retired Teamster from Local #525 and drove a semi-truck for many years. He was also a member of Moose Lodge #1634 in Litchfield. In his leisure time, he enjoyed tending to his roses and dancing.

He is survived by one son: Gene (wife, Tracey) Reener of Hillsboro, IL; two step-children, Drexel Neisler of Memphis, TN and Becky Neisler of Memphis, TN; one grandson, Myron (wife, Ricki) Neisler of Springfield, IL; three great-grandchildren, Alexis Neisler, Mia Viele, and Vinny Viele all of Springfield, IL; and one brother, Ronald (wife, Lynn) Reener of Litchfield, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Orin & Myron Edna (Cloud) Reener; Wife, Sonna Reener; two brothers, James “Buddy” Reener and Roy L. Reener; three sisters, Edna Reener, Leeta Crawford, and Grace Holden; and special friend, Donna Cunningham.
