Howard "Hardy" Martin Huber

Howard Martin “Hardy” Huber, 74, of Coffeen, IL passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at 5:45 a.m., at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.  A visitation will be held on  Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen, IL.  Funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL.  Father Daniel Willenborg, Pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL and Father Jeff Stone, Pastor of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Greenville, IL will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Coffeen, IL. 

Mr. Huber was born March 18, 1948, in Hillsboro, IL, to the late Clarence Francis “Slim” & Henrietta Rose (Boas) Huber.  He was a 1967 Graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL. Mr. Huber had been a farmer, and lived on the family farm in Coffeen, IL, his entire life.  He was a long time member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Coffeen, IL and past member of Coffeen Lions.  He collected toy tractors, loved to grill for all of his friends and loved to garden to share with all of his neighbors.

Mr. Huber is survived by his siblings, Clarence (wife, Sue) Huber Jr. of Taylorville, IL; Frank (wife, Lana) Huber of Quincy, IL; Nadine (husband, Keith) Baldwin of Greenville, IL; Beverly (husband, Leo) Kenny of Coffeen, IL; Brenda (husband, Gordon) Galloway of Decatur, IL; Rose (husband, Evan) Young of Fillmore, IL; Don (wife, Carrie) Huber of Coffeen, IL and Donna (husband, George) Alewelt of Auburn, IL and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials are suggested to Coffeen Volunteer Fire Department or Coffeen Veteran’s Memorial Project.
