Helen Evelyn (Braun) Zimmerman, 93, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Tremont Ridge in Hillsboro, IL. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL. Father Daniel Willenborg, Pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL. Burial will be held at St. Agnes Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.

Ms. Zimmerman was born on January 6, 1929 in Effingham, IL, to the late Ferdinand and Mary (Bushur) Braun. She graduated St. Anthony’s High School in Effingham, IL. Ms. Zimmerman married Robert G. Zimmerman Sr. on January 27, 1951 in Effingham, IL; he preceded in death on August 22, 2009. Ms. Zimmerman was a homemaker; she also loved golfing, reading, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She had lived in Effingham, IL, Mt. Vernon, IL, and Hillsboro, IL during her lifetime.

Ms. Zimmerman is survived by her children, Robert (wife, Donna) Zimmerman of Inverness, IL; Kent (wife, Mary Pat) Zimmerman of Hillsboro, IL; Greg Zimmerman of Hillsboro, IL; Mary Beth Zimmerman of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; grandchildren, Lindsey (husband, Jason) Jones, Brian Zimmerman, Chad (wife, Emily) Zimmerman, Justin (wife, Jessica) Zimmerman, Elizabeth (husband, Oliver) Blackbourn, Mallory (husband, Matthew) Duncan and Remington Zimmerman; and eight great-grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand and Mary (Bushur) Braun; husband, Robert G. Zimmerman Sr.; as well as two brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be given to the St. Agnes Building Fund and the Robert and Helen Zimmerman Scholarship at the Education Foundation.
