Helen E. Suhling, 68, of Irving, IL passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021, at 2:30 p.m., at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab in Taylor Springs, IL. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield, IL. Pastor Sue Bryce, Pastor of United Methodist Church in Irving, IL, will officiate. Family and friends will meet at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home at 9:15 a.m. to preceded to the cemetery. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Suhling was born on January 21, 1953, in Hillsboro, IL, to the late Wayne & Eleanor (Slagel) White. She was a 1971 Graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL. She married Dennis Suhling and he preceded her in death in 2009. Mrs. Suhling had worked at the Hillsboro Journal News, Hillsboro Hospital, Casey’s General Store and helped run pony rides at Old Settlers. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Litchfield, IL and the Old Settlers Committee. She also loved horses, cats and spending time with her family. Mrs. Suhling had lived in Hillsboro, IL and Irving, IL.
Mrs. Suhling is survived by two sisters, Ruth Ann (husband, Frank) Newberry of Irving, IL and Alice (husband, John) Fenton of Hillsboro, IL; one brother, Russell (wife, Pat) White of Petersburg, IL and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to Montgomery County Cancer Association.
