Helen Ann (Bateman) Niehaus

Helen Ann (Bateman) Niehaus, 87, of Taylor Springs, IL, formerly of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 10:09 a.m. at Montgomery Nursing and Rehab Center in Taylor Springs, IL. Cremation rites were accorded and arrangements are pending at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL.

Mrs. Niehaus was born on March 31, 1933 in Hillsboro, IL, to the late Roscoe Allen and Martha Emma Bateman. She was a 1951 graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL. Mrs. Niehaus married Ralph E. Niehaus on August 8, 1953 in Hillsboro, IL; he preceded on January 31, 2014. Mrs. Niehaus was a member of Wares Grove Lutheran Church in Rural Butler, IL, as well as Ladies Aid Wares Grove. She was a Farm Wife, and she also worked at White Bank in Hillsboro, IL. Mrs. Niehaus had lived in Hillsboro, IL and Butler, IL during her lifetime.

Mrs. Niehaus is survived by her son, Brian Niehaus of Hillsboro, IL; two grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Christine Bateman. Along with her parents and husband,  Mrs. Niehaus was preceded by her brother, Allen Bateman.
