Helen Faye (Shipman) Bergman

 Helen Faye (Shipman) Bergman age 76, of Harrisburg, IL passed away Sunday April 9, 2023 at 10:41 PM at Hillsboro Area Hospital Hillsboro, IL. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, April 12, 2023 from 5 to 7 PM at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home Hillsboro, IL with the funeral service Thursday April 13, 2023 at 10AM also at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home Hillsboro, IL. Rev. Randy Sands, Pastor of Free Methodist Church in Hillsboro, IL will officiate. Burial will be in Irving Cemetery, Irving, IL           

Mrs. Bergman was born January 17, 1947 in Hillsboro, IL to Hurbert Leon & Rubye Gayle (Hankins) Shipman. She married James Bergman September 19, 1964 in Hillsboro, he preceded her in death on September 23, 2020. She worked as a waitress and over the road truck driver. She had lived in Hillsboro, IL, Waltonville, IL, Harrisburg, IL, and Dowell, IL in her life. Mrs. Bergman loved to play and coach softball, enjoyed gardening, and mushroom hunting. She loved her Chihuahua dogs and loved her grandchildren and spending time with family.

Mrs. Bergman is survived by her children, Richard Bergman of Creal Springs, IL; Terry (wife, Angela) Bergman of Harrisburg, IL; Lora (husband, Robert) Watson of Hillsboro, IL and Judy (husband, Mark) Black of Murphysboro, IL; nineteen Grandchildren and thirty-nine Great- Grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by sister Charlotte Kay Shipman, brother Marion “Lee” Shipman, granddaughter, Christina Watson, and one great grandson.
