Helen L (Hicks) Beeler

Helen L. Beeler, 99, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at 1:00 a.m., at Hillsboro Rehab and Health Care Center in Hillsboro, IL.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL.  A funeral services will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL.  Rev. Breck Nelson, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL, will officiate.  Burial will be in Clear Springs Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.

Mrs. Beeler was born on November 11, 1923, in Fillmore, IL, to the late Rolla R. & Vera (Porterfield) Hicks. She was a graduate of Fillmore High School in Fillmore, IL.  She married Melvin Leo Beeler, on May 23, 1942, in Bourbon, MO.  He preceded in death on May 15, 1981.  Mrs. Beeler was a homemaker and was also a child care provider.  Mrs Beeler was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL, where she was very involved with all of the organizations of the church.  She had lived in Fillmore, IL and Hillsboro, IL.

Mrs. Beeler is survived by three children, Dennis Beeler of Quincy, IL, Wanda (husband, Tim) Smith of Quincy, IL and David (wife, Shelley) Beeler of Hillsboro, IL; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Beeler was preceded in death by three siblings, Weldon S. Hicks, Sheridan Hicks & Lora Stanley.
