Hazel (Bowman) Redman

Hazel (Bowman) Redman, 84, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at her daughter’s home in Port Charlotte, FL.  Cremation rites were accorded.  A Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Wares Grove Lutheran Church in Butler, IL.  A Memorial Service will be held July 17, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., at Wares Grove Lutheran Church in Butler, IL.  Rev. John Jaffry, Pastor of Wares Grove Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Wares Grove Cemetery in Butler, IL.  We will be following COVID-19 CDC Guidelines with the use of masks and social distancing.

Mrs. Redman was born on June 9, 1936, in Butler Grove Township, IL, to the late Ralph & Fern (Dorr) Bowman. She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL. Mrs. Redman married Bill Redman, on September 18, 1955, at Wares Grove Lutheran Church in Butler, IL.  He preceded in death on December 17, 2015.  Mrs. Redman, along with her husband, owned and operated Hiltop Bakery in Hillsboro, IL and Whispering Hills Christmas Tree Farm in Hillsboro, IL, she had also retired from Kroger's in Litchfield, IL. . She was a member of the Wares Grove Lutheran Church in Butler, IL and The Christmas Tree Growers Association.

Mrs. Redman is survived by her children, Pam Fusco of Port Charlotte, FL; Bruce (wife, Nancy) Redman of Hillsboro, IL; Brian (wife, Amy) Redman of Hillsboro, IL; Mike Redman (companion, Diane Quick) of Taylorville, IL; son-in-law, Kenny Hill; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren;  and sisters, Helen (husband, James) Brinkman of Hillsboro, IL and Beverley (husband, Donald) Davis of Coffeen, IL.

Mrs. Redman was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph & Fern (Dorr) Bowman; her husband, Bill Redman; her daughter, Kathy S. Hill, who  preceded on December 21, 2014; siblings, Edith Gurtner, Dale Bowman, Alice Williams, Joyce Dickerson, and Mildred Shelton.
