Harry Bruce Goodin

Harry Bruce Goodin, 72, of Donnellson, IL, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 11:40 a.m. at his residence in Donnellson, IL. Cremation Rites were accorded, Memorial Services may be held at a later date.

Mr. Goodin was born on November 11, 1949, in Vandalia, IL to the late, Harry A. and Patsy A. (Schultz) Goodin. He was a Graduate of Mulberry Grove High School, Class of 1968. Mr. Goodin was an army veteran; he served actively in combat during the Vietnam War. He went on to work at De Moulin Bros. & Co. in Greenville, IL as a pattern designer and later became Computer Design Dept. Supervisor. He married Jean Greek on March 23, 1972 in Greenville, IL, and she preceded him on October 1, 2016. Mr. Goodin loved to garden roses and vegetables, loved reading, western movies with Jimmie Stewart and John Wayne, old country music, practical jokes, and piddling in his garage on small engines. Mr. Goodin had lived in Smithboro, IL; Mulberry Grove, IL; and Donnellson, IL during his lifetime.

Mr. Goodin is survived by his daughter, Traci Hetzel of Jerseyville, IL and his granddaughters, Gabriella and Savannah Hetzel both of Jerseyville, IL, as well as his siblings, Kathy A. Smith, Patsy J. Barackman, Terri G. Stanton, Sara J. Goodin, Rose Bare, and Abby Blackburn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry A. and Patsy A. (Schultz) Goodin; his wife, Jean Goodin; his daughter, Jenifer Goodin and his son-in-law, Andrew Hetzel.
