Haley Lynn (Cole) Melton

Haley Lynn (Cole) Melton, 32, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021, at 10:00 p.m., at her residence. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL.  Rev. Myron Kirk, Pastor of Grace Fellowship Church in Fillmore, IL, will officiate.   Burial will take place in Waveland Cemetery in  Hillsboro, IL. 

Mrs. Melton was born on October 25, 1988, in Hillsboro IL, to Lyle Cole, Jr. and Eva (Halleman) King.  She attended Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL and had worked as a waitress. She married Jamie Melton in 2007 and he survives. Mrs. Melton was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Fillmore, IL.  She loved watching the TV show “Friends” and the actor Bradley Cooper.  She also loved to eat especially  her sweets.

Mrs. Melton is survived by her husband Jamie Melton; parents, Lyle Cole, Jr. of Hillsboro, IL and Eva (husband, Larry) King of Irving, IL; one son, Eliot Melton of Carlyle, IL; two siblings, Lyle “Tony” Cole of Coffeen, IL and Danielle (Cole) Elmore of Coffeen, IL; maternal grandmother, Janet Halleman and four aunts, Robin Halleman, Paula Chumley, Delva Gifford, and Tanya Hubbard.  Mrs. Melton was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Lyle and Linda Cole.

Memorials may be given to the family for Eliot Melton's Educational Fund.
