George E. Friesland, Jr.

George E. Friesland Jr., 71, of Litchfield, IL, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 8:50 p.m. at Heritage Health in Staunton, IL. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Clear Springs Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL. Burial will be held at Clear Springs Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.

Mr. Friesland was born on January 13, 1950 to the late George E. and Helen M. (Sanders) Friesland Sr. He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL. He married Sandy Hadegan, whom he later divorced. He later married Vickie Jacobs on April 4, 1998 in Litchfield, IL and she survives in Litchfield, IL. Mr. Friesland was a machine operator at FiatAllis and then owned and operated A&B Automotive in Litchfield, IL; he had also worked at Water Bug Marina and Kruse Auto Salvage. Mr. Friesland loved fishing and being outdoors, and he loved his muscle cars. He was known to think of others first. He had lived in Wilsonville, IL, Witt, IL, Nokomis, IL, and Litchfield, IL during his lifetime.

Mr. Friesland is survived by his wife, Vicki Friesland of Litchfield, IL; his son, George E. Friesland, III of Litchfield, IL; step-children, Dustin Trimble, Colt Trimble, and Toni (husband, Robert) Lowenthal; grandchildren, Allie Friesland and Tyson Friesland, both of Litchfield, IL; step-grandchildren, Breanna, Ryleigh, Ashlynn, Hoyt, Tristan, LaVeda Noel, Taylor, Tabitha, Lanie, Colson, and Silas; great-grandchildren, Kyson, Ayden, LaVeda Antonia; brothers and sisters, William (wife Diane) Friesland of Witt, IL; Violet Van Dee of Wilsonville, IL; Patsy Mier of Taylorville, IL; James (wife Melody) Friesland of Taylorville, IL; Claude (wife Rhonda) Friesland of Ramsey, IL; Dean Friesland of Ramsey, IL; Joe (wife Melissa) Friesland of Taylorville, IL; Daniel Friesland of Decatur, IL; and Helen (husband Richard) Berner of Ramsey, IL. Mr. Friesland was preceded in death by his parents, George E. and Helen M. (Sanders) Friesland Sr., and his sister, Linda Fenton.
