Frank Frederick Jorn, 85, of Hillsboro, IL passed away, Sunday, March 26, 2023, at his residence. A visitation will be held Monday April 3, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday April 4, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL. Father Daniel Willenborg, Pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.
Mr. Jorn was born April 5, 1937 in Hillsboro, IL to the late Frank A & Freda (Boas) Jorn. He was a 1955 graduate of Hillsboro High School and later attended art classes. He married Margaret Reynolds on June 21, 1958, at St Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL. She survives in Hillsboro, IL. A lifelong resident of Hillsboro Mr. Jorn was a painter for the Illinois Department of Corrections at Graham Correctional Center and held the position of Secretary for Painter Union Local #910 for 20 years, he also owned his own sign shop in Hillsboro. He was a member of St Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL; Knights of Columbus in Hillsboro, IL and Moose club #1377 in Hillsboro, IL. He served in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed woodworking and loved bird watching in his free time, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Jorn is survived by his two children, Rebecca Meyer (husband, Rob) Hillsboro, IL; Randy Jorn (wife, Darla) Hillsboro, IL; six grandchildren, Travis Jorn Lipe (wife, Hollie) Springfield, IL; Tyler Jorn Lipe ( wife, Jennifer) Hoover, Alabama; Tony Christ (wife, Ashley) Hillsboro, IL; Brian Christ (companion, Caley) Hillsboro, IL; Ashley Jorn, Chicago, IL; Andrew Jorn (wife, Morgan) St Louis, MO; five great-grandchildren Kaitlin, Khloei, Brylei, Jayden, Lucas ; one brother Kenneth (wife Carol) Jorn of Hillsboro, IL Along with his parents, Mr. Jorn was preceded in death by one son, Rodney Frank Jorn.
