Frances I. Porter Hanauer, 93, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at 1:38 p.m., at her residence. A graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at 12:00 p.m., at Cress Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL. Rev. Ralph Ward will officiate. Family and friends will meet at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL at 11:30 a.m. to process to the cemetery.
Mrs. Hanauer was born June 3, 1927, in Shelbyville, IL, to the late Frank Yantis & Cora (Martz) Yantis Ward. She was a 1945 Graduate of Shelbyville High School in Shelbyville, IL and had worked at International Paper in Litchfield, IL and retired from CPC Rexel in Litchfield, IL. She married William Porter on July 31, 1949 in Hillsboro, IL and he preceded in death on December 10, 1991. She then married Lyle G. Hanauer and he preceded in death on December 20, 2019. Mrs. Hanauer had lived in Shelbyville, IL and Hillsboro, IL.
Mrs. Hanauer is survived by one daughter, Sandra (husband, Timothy) Hand; one step-daughter, Nancy (husband, Chris) Murtaugh; three grandchildren, Matthew (wife, Kristin) Porter, Michelle (husband, Gene) McConnell and Zac (wife, Tracy) Hand; two step grandchildren, Jason Murtaugh and Alison M. (husband, Sean) LaFortune and several great grandchildren. Along with her parents and husbands, Mrs. Hanauer was preceded in death by one step grandson, Colin Martaugh.
