Floyd Lee “Butch” Lentz, 79, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 8:45 p.m. at his residence. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Mark Noyes of Hillsboro, IL will officiate. Burial will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.at Cress Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.
Mr. Lentz was born on April 20, 1943 in Hillsboro, IL to the late William W. & Viola May (Adamson) Lentz Sr. He was a 1962 graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL. Mr. Lentz had worked as a Union Meat Cutter for over 30 years. He then worked at ALCO in Hillsboro, IL as a Group Manager. Mr. Lentz married Caren Reynolds in 1994 in Hillsboro, IL. She survives in Hillsboro, IL. Mr. Lentz had lived in Michigan and Hillsboro, IL.
Along with his wife, Caren Lentz, of Hillsboro, IL, Mr. Lentz is survived by his children, Michelle (husband, Ken) Holton of Tampa, FL; Lea Ann (husband, Scott) Jacobs of Bolivar, MO; Amanda (husband, David) Middleton of Fishers, IN; Becky (husband, Ted) Martin of Centralia, IL; April (husband, Galen) Pier of Taylor Springs, IL; Jesse (wife, Sarah) Elliott of Hillsboro, IL; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles E. Lentz of Hillsboro, IL and Robert G. Lentz of Hillsboro, IL; and several nieces and nephews; Mr. Lentz was preceded in death by his parents, William W. & Viola May (Adamson) Lentz Sr., as well as his brother, William W. Lentz and sister, Rhonda Durbin.
