Evelyn Louise Carlock, 68, of Coffeen, IL passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021, at 10:50 a.m., at her mother’s residence. A graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., at Olive Hill Cemetery in Coffeen, IL. Family and friends will meet at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen, IL at 12:30 p.m. to proceed to the cemetery. Mark Noyes, of HIllsboro, IL, will officiate.
Ms. Carlock was born June 10, 1953, in Vandalia, IL, to Clyde Rex and Lucille (McDonough) Carlock. Her father preceded her in death and her mother, Lucille Gorsage, survives in Coffeen, IL. Ms. Carlock was a 1971 Graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL and received her BA in Education from McKendree University in Lebanon, IL. She retired from Graham Correctional Center where she had worked in the payroll department and then as a counselor. Ms. Carlock loved to quilt, belonging to several quilting groups and she also loved to travel. she had lived in Coffeen, IL and Panama, IL.
Ms. Carlock is survived by her mother, Lucille Gorsage of Coffeen, IL; one sister, Beverly Whalen of Coffeen, IL; one niece, Ann Whalen and two nephews, Mark Whalen & John Whalen. She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Rex Carlock.
