Donald G. Clausen, 88 of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 in Dearborn, Michigan. Burial will be held at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL is in charge of local arrangements.

Mr. Clausen was born on December 5, 1932 in Martinsville, IL to the late Edward Henry & Bessie Fern (Richardson) Clausen. He married Shirley Baisden, and they later divorced. Mr. Clausen was a United States Army Veteran; he served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He had worked at Great Lakes Steel in Michigan for 32 years. Donald and his companion Donna Roach travelled around to local nursing homes and senior centers where they sang and played the organ for resident entertainment. Mr. Clausen had lived in Hillsboro, IL and in Michigan during his lifetime.

Mr. Clausen is survived by his children, Kevin (wife, Arline) Clausen and Kenneth (wife, Vanessa) Clausen and his grandchildren, Stephanie, Aaron, Edward, Wayne, Joshua, Krista, and Kyle and companion Donna Roach. Mr. Clausen was preceded in death by his sons, Donald Clausen Sr. and Steven Clausen, and his grandson, Donald Clausen Jr.
