Darren Eugene Boerckel, 64, of Litchfield, IL passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 10:49 a.m. at his home in Litchfield, IL. A Celebration of Life will be planned by his family for a later date. Mr. Boerckel was born January 29, 1959 in Litchfield, IL. to John T. and Caroline (Buzick) Boerckel Jr., both have preceded in death. He worked as a Hod Carrier, Laborer and lived in the Litchfield area his whole life. Darren was a Member of Litchfield Southern Baptist Church in Litchfield, IL. He loved his two cats, Faith and Darla, loved to fish, loved tattoos, gardening and spending time with family. He also loved going to antique shops and goodwill stores.

Darren is survived by siblings: Terry (wife, JoAnna) Boerckel of New Douglas, IL;  John Boerckel III (companion, Karen) of Litchfield, IL; Nancy Brewer of Litchfield, IL; Carol (husband, Kenny) Ondrey of Livingston, IL; Nieces and nephews, Theresa (husband, Dave) Kirkwood, Terry (wife, Jennifer) Boerckel, Clint(wife, Angela) Boerckel, Gene (wife, Linda) Boerckel Jr, Christina (husband, Will) Sargent, Tania Brooks, Joni (husband, Lonnie) Mayfield, John (wife, Shannon) Boerckel IV, Coralie Brewer, Mike (wife, Suzanne) Brewer, Michelle (husband, David) Belt, Matthew (wife, Anna) Brewer, Danny (wife, Kathy) Brewer, Rachel Brewer (companion, Parker), Jeff (wife, Rachel) Davis Jr, John (wife, Sandra) Davis, and Tish (husband, Cavin) Schmedeke. Several Great and Great- Great nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jimmy Boerckel and Gene Boerckel, Gene’s wife Linda Boerckel, and Niece Amy Boerckel; paternal grandparents John & Edith Boerckel Sr. and maternal grandparents Toney & Cora Buzick.

Memorials are suggested to Litchfield Southern Baptist Church at this time.
