Cloyde "C.O." Snider

Cloyde “C.O.” Snider, 83, of Donnellson, passed away Monday, May 13, 2024, at home. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Cloyde was born on October 18, 1940, to John and Iona (Traylor) Snider in Coffeen. His twin brother, Claude, of Fillmore , survives. A brother, John (Barbara) and two sisters, Lila King Warren and Oramay Snider preceded him in death. 

C.O. and the love of his life, Alma (Hamilton) raised five daughters, Becky (Jim) Clinard, Oglesby, IL; Lisa Lusk, Hillsboro; Sheri (Kevin) Riley, Corydon, IN; Tammy (Robb) Hellman, Spartanburg, SC; and Kristy Hadley, Donnellson.  Their family grew to include 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a great great grandson.

C.O. was a retired laborer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening and his life on the farm. He was an avid Cardinals fan.  C.O. was blessed with his own small army of friends and neighbors who checked on him frequently and kept him out of trouble after Alma’s passing in October of 2020.  Anyone who stopped by was greeted with a pot of coffee and a hefty dose of attitude and humor.  He leaves behind his best buddies, Skipper and Ginger.
