Brent Eugene Barkhurst

Brent Eugene Barkhurst, 68, of Coffeen, IL passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 3:28 p.m. at his residence. Cremation rites were accorded and there are no services planned.

Mr. Barkhurst was born on November 24, 1953 in St. Louis, MO to James Robert and Mildred Evelyn (Donaldson) Barkhurst. James Barkhurst survives in Bridgeton, MO. He was a high school graduate and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. After, he worked maintenance for Mansion House Apartments in St. Louis, MO. He lived in St. Louis, MO; Florissant, MO; and Hillsboro, IL in his lifetime.

In addition to his father, James, Mr. Barkhurst is survived by his sister Joyce (husband David Petty in Beecher City, IL.

Mr. Barkhurst is preceded in death by his mother, Mildred, and his brother Greg “Gigg” Barkhurst.
