Betty Louise (Vogel) Ott

Betty Louise Ott, age 92, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023, at Montgomery County Nursing and Rehab in Taylor Springs, IL. Private family funeral service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL. Reverend Ralph Ward of Hillsboro, IL will officiate.

Mrs. Ott was born December 23, 1930, in Hillsboro, Illinois, to the late Ernest and Hazel (Micenhiemer) Vogel. She married James Robert Ott on June 21, 1952 at the First Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2012. Mrs. Ott lived in Hillsboro area her entire life and was a graduate of Hillsboro High School. She had worked at Illinois Consolidated Telephone Company and was a member of First Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL. She loved poetry and scripture.

She is survived by her children, Andrew (Kari) Ott of TN, Phillip (wife, Ann) Ott of Springfield, IL,  grandchildren, Amber  Miles of Taylorville, IL, Jacob Ott of Springfield, IL, Joshua (wife, Emily) Ott of Columbia, IL, Dr. Andrew K ( fiancé, Jacqueline Estrada) Ott of Hillsboro, Il, Tyler (wife, Kaylie) Ott of Springfield, IL, Jason (wife, Danielle) Ott of Windsor, CO, and Isabella Ott of Litchfield, IL, great grandchildren, Jackson Ott, Fletcher Saathoff, Justice Miles, Logan Ott, Ella Ott, and Connor Ott, Brothers,  Burl Vogel, Merle Vogel, sister, Bonnie Boston and also survived by several Nieces and Nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Ott was preceded in death by her brothers Robert Vogel and William Vogel, and sister Mercedes Lessman.
