Amos T. Segrest, 85, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020, at 1:07 p.m., at his residence. Cremation rites were accorded and no services are planned at this time.
Mr. Segrest was born on September 3, 1935, in Taylor Springs, IL, to the late Charles M. & Lela M. (Hancock) Segrest. He married Mabel Agney, on November 4, 1960, in Litchfield, IL and she survives in Hillsboro, IL. Mr. Segrest was the Water & Sewer Department Superintendent for Taylor Springs, IL from 1966 to 1993 and was a member of the Taylor Springs Baptist Church. He had lived in Taylor Springs, IL and Hillsboro, IL his entire life.
Along with his wife, Mr. Segrest is survived by three children, Roy (wife, Brenda) Segrest; Steve Segrest & Mary (husband, Jeff) Combs; seven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and one brother, Rex (wife, Lois) Segrest. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Charles Segrest, who preceded on February 23, 2017; four half brothers and one half sister.
