Amanda Christine McClanahan, 44, of Taylor Springs, IL, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at 5:08 p.m., at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, MO. A visitation will be held Friday, July 8, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen, IL. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 8, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen, IL. Pastor Ryan Thiele, Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Coffeen, IL, will officate. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery in Coffeen, IL.
Ms. McClanahan was born January 3, 1978, to Doug McClanahan and Debbie (Barricklow) Ellinger. She was a 1996 Graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL and received an Associate Degree from Robert Morris Business College. She married Bob Barnes and they later divorced. She had worked as an Activity Director at Hillsboro Health Care Center in Hillsboro, IL. Ms. McClanahan was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Coffeen, IL and had lived in Coffeen, IL; Hillsboro, IL and Taylor Springs, IL. Ms. McClanahan also touched many lives by her tissue donation at her time of death.
Ms. McClanahan is survived by her father, Doug McClanahan of Coffeen, IL; mother, Debbie (husband, Harold) Ellinger of Hillsboro, IL; children, Gage (wife, Sydney) Holcomb Barnes of Hillsboro, IL and Alexis Barnes of Hillsboro, IL; brothers, Rickie Dean (wife, Jenny) Malloy of Hillsboro, IL and Ryan (wife, Cassie) Malloy of Hillsboro, IL; paternal grandmother, Sharon Blackburn; maternal grandmother, Patricia Gilbert; several aunts, uncles, nephews and her beloved dog Bruiser.
