William "Bill" C. Klump, 86, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at 1:50 p.m. at his home in Hillsboro, IL.  A private family service is being held with the Rev. Fred Kraemer, Pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, Litchfield, IL, officiating.  Burial will be in Wares Grove Cemetery, Butler, IL.

Mr. Klump was born on May 27, 1930, in Windsor, IL, to the late Orville F. and Juanita M. (Childress) Klump.  He was a 1947 graduate of Raymond High School, Raymond, IL.  He married Betty M. Williams on February 21, 1951 in Hillsboro, IL and she survives in Hillsboro, IL after 66 years of marriage.  Mr. Klump owned and operated the Red & White general store in Butler, IL; worked in the meat cutting industry from 1947 until his retirement from Capri IGA in 1991; served as Assessor for Butler Grove Township for six years; was one of three Butler natives who founded the "Butler Homecoming" celebrations; owned and operated Klump's Lawn Service until his retirement; and loved to garden, take walks,paint and do woodworking.  He lived in Raymond, IL, Butler, IL and Hillsboro, IL during his lifetime.  Mr. Klump was a 47 year member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, IL, after which he became a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, IL in 1998.

Mr. Klump is survived by four sons, Steven (wife Lynn) Klump of Bloomington, IL; Phil (wife Tracey) Klump of Hillsboro, IL; Mike (wife Sandy) Klump of Hillsboro, IL; and Kevin Klump of Omaha, NE; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Maree Worsham of Phoenix, AZ; and two brothers, Gene (wife Martha) Klump of Raymond, IL and Bob (wife Virginia) Klump of Hillsboro, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church, Litchfield, IL.
