Verlie Loraine (Huber) Huber

January 31, 1919 ~ April 19, 2017 (age 98) 98 Years Old

Verlie Loraine Huber, age 98, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at 1:45 p.m. at Hillsboro Rehab & Health Care, Hillsboro IL.  A graveside memorial service will be held for both Kenneth and Verlie Huber on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery, Hillsboro, IL.  Burial for both Kenneth and Verlie Huber will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hillsboro, IL.  Mark Jagosh will officate.  Cremation rites were accorded to both Kenneth and Verlie Huber.  Military rites for Kenneth Huber are being accorded by V.F.W. Post 1306 and American Legion Post 425.

Verlie was born on January 31, 1919 in Charleston IL a daughter of the late John and Martha Vallie (Williamson) Huber. She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and had attended Eastern Illinois University.  Mrs. Huber lived in Charleston, IL, Hillsboro, IL, and after retirement, she traveled to Arcadia, FL every winter for six months for the past 25 years with her husband Kenneth until his passing.  She was a homemaker and loved to cook, winning several cooking contests.  She belonged to a card club and loved to play pinnacle with friends.  Mrs. Huber helped develop Huber Sub-division in Hillsboro, IL with a street being named after them, Huber Drive.  She enjoyed going to Florida.  Verlie enjoyed spending time with her family.

Her marriage to Kenneth T. Huber was on November 1, 1940 and he preceded her in death on September 9, 2016. They were married for 75 years.  Survivors include two daughters, Sandra "Sandy" Atterberry (husband, Mark Tennant), Ballwin MO & Deanna Huber, Sarasota FL; four grandchildren, Tammy (husband Steve) Jagosh, Tracy (husband Phil) Klump, James Laurent and Chad Atterberry; five great grandchildren, Jason Jagosh, Justin Jagosh, Olivia Klump, Jake Klump & Travis Klump; three brothers, Wendell J. Huber, Springfield MO, Udell J. Huber, Vandalia IL, Eugene E. Huber, Orlando FL & one sister, Ilean F. Himes, Fillmore IL. Preceding in death were two brothers, Doyle W. Huber & Kennesaw R. Huber.

Memorials may be given to VFW & American Legion Honor Guard Team.
