Sam H. Casey, 62, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at 12:15 p.m. at his residence. Cremation rites were accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Sam was born on September 7, 1954, in Hillsboro, IL, to the late Charles and Dorothy (Cress) Casey. He married Susan Lorraine Bellott on July 26, 1975, and she preceded him in death on December 25, 2016. Sam worked as a Boilermaker with Boilermakers Union Local 363, Belleville, IL and lived in Hillsboro his entire life. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Sam is survived by three sons, Stan Casey (wife Kimberly Frerichs-Casey), Litchfield, IL; Steve Casey (Special Friend Heather Wilson), Edwardsville, IL and Scott (wife Anna) Patterson, Kathleen, GA; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, Charlie Casey, Schram City, IL and Dave Scott, Nokomis, IL.
In addition to his wife and parents, Sam was also preceded in death by one brother, Butch Casey, and one sister, Charlotte Huddelston Havron.
Memorials may be given to the Family of Sam Casey.
