Paul Clayton White, age 80, of Coffeen IL, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 1:50 a.m. at his residence. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Coffeen, IL, with Rev. Tim Logue, pastor of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Pierce assisting at graveside. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 6, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church.
Paul was born on July 28 1938 at Coffeen IL to the late Ralph S. and Nancy Pauline (Letterman) White. Mr. White was a graduate of Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro IL with the Class of 1957 and had worked as a mechanic at CIPS in Coffeen. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, where he had served as deacon. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
His marriage to Ora Edna Barbee took place on September 16, 2004 and she preceded in death on November 30, 2015. Survivors include two sons, Paul Stephen (wife Dawn) White, Coffeen, IL and Stanley Lynn (wife Cheryl) White, Auburn, IL; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Jeanette Barringer, Coffeen IL and brother, Nelson Eugene White, Clinton IL. He was preceded by son, Scott Taylor White on January 19, 2017, brother, Ralph "Pete" White and sister, Anna Lee White.
Memorials are suggested to Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Coffeen IL.
