Norine Marie (Jones) Brand

Norine Marie (Jones) Brand, 87, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at 2:52 a.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital, Hillsboro, IL.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL.  Dr. Ronald D. Rhodus will officiate.  Cremation rites will be accorded after funeral service.

Mrs. Brand was born on November 19, 1929, in St. Louis, MO to the late John and Gladys (Ogle) Jones.  She was a 1948 graduate of Roosevelt High School, St. Louis, MO and worked as a school bus driver in St. Louis, MO.  Mrs. Brand lived in St. Louis, MO until 2005, when she moved to Hillsboro, IL.  She married Robert Richard Brand, Jr. in 1948 in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death.  Mrs. Brand was a member of Tower Grove Baptist Church, Tower Grove, IL; loved to make ceramics and to bowl; and loved spending time with her grandson.

Mrs. Brand is survived by her daughter, Pamela (husband Wally) DeLong of Hillsboro, IL and a grandson, Chris DeLong of Hillsboro, IL. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Michael Brand on August 30, 2001.
