Louis "Lee" E. Hayes, 60, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2019 at 3:40 p.m. at Hillsboro Rehab and Health Care Center, Hillsboro, IL. Visitaiton will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL. Rev. Michael Lawton, Pastor of United Methodist Church, Hillsboro, IL will officiate.
Mr. Hayes was born on July 27, 1958 in Hillsboro, IL to the late Earl L. and Mary Ann (Henson) Hayes. He was a 1976 Graduate of Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, IL, and received an associates degree in science at Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, IL. Mr. Hayes lived in Butler, IL, and Hillsboro, IL throughout his lifetime, and worked as a truck driver. He was a dedicated fan of WWE Wrestling and was inspired by John Cena's work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Mr. Hayes is survived by one sister, Ruth (Husband Steve) Ernst, Hillsboro, IL; and two brothers, Kenneth (Wife Maureen) Hayes, Butler, IL, and Tony Hayes, Hillsboro, IL.
Mr. Hayes was also preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Jean Hayes, and Merle Weller.
