Joe Eck

Joe Eck, 60, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 1:13 p.m., in Witt, IL.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL.  Rev. James Hayes, Pastor of St. James Baptist Church, will officiate.  Burial will take place in Waveland Cemetery, Hillsboro, IL.

Mr. Eck was born on December 1, 1957 in Pana, IL to the late John and Cora (Raymond) Eck.  He was a 1976 graduate of Nokomis High School, Nokomis, IL. and worked as a lineman, tree trimmer, and operator.  Mr. Eck lived in Pana, IL, Nokomis, IL and Hillsboro, IL during his lifetime.  He married Lora Edwards on June 21, 1986 in Shelby County, IL and she survives in Hillsboro, IL.  Mr. Eck was a member of IBEW 309, the Nokomis Sportsman Club, ABATE, and loved to ride Harleys and cut wood.

Mr. Eck is survived by his wife, Lora; daughter, Amanda Heim of Ramsey, IL; brother, Terry (wife Linda) Eck of Pana, IL; and sister, Barbara (husband Neal) Oreskovich of Oconee, IL.

Mr. Eck was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons, Joshua Eck, preceded on January 8, 2005 and Jeremy Eck, preceded on July 28, 2008.
