James Arthur "Bull Dog" Hefley, 83, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at 9:05 p.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital, Hillsboro, IL. Cremation rites were accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Irving Century House, Irving, IL.
Mr. Hefley was born on March 13, 1935 in Witt, IL to the late Rolley Bailey and Jewell Wilma (Anderson) Hefley. He attended Witt High School in Witt, IL, and retired from Hillsboro, IL Glass Machine Repair. Mr. Hefley lived in Witt, IL and Hillsboro, IL. He married Emily Ruth Oakley in 1970. She survives in Hillsboro, IL. Mr. Hefley was a member of AKC and PKC Coon Dog Hunting Clubs. He served in the United States Army in Germany for two years, and Texas for two years.
Mr. Hefley is survived by four children, Steve (Wife Vicki) Hefley, Hillsboro, IL, Tammi Jo Hartman (Companion Tom), Pana, IL, Vickie Myers, Panama, IL, and Jama (Husband Randy) Zebrauska, Hillsboro, IL; nine grandchildren, Medina Velky, Travis Hartman, Tiffany Burton, James Hefley, Misty Burton, Gina Hartman, Adrianna Hefley, Jamie Hartman, and Emily Aschmeller; and great grandchildren, Austin Michael Abrams, and several others.
