Glenn F. Martin, 66, of Mulberry Grove, IL, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017, at 3:54 a.m. at Highland Healthcare in Highland, IL. Visitation will be Friday, July 21, 2017, from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen, IL. Funeral services will be Friday, July 21, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home, Coffeen, IL. Rev. Tom Austin, Peoria, IL, will officiate. Burial will take place at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Coffeen, IL.
Mr. Martin was born July 10, 1951, to the late Frank J. & Mildred B. (Austin) Martin. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force having served for 5 1/2 years, and worked as a Recreational Manager on Whidbey Island Naval Air Station, Oak Harbor, Washington. During his lifetime he lived in Coffeen, IL; East Alton, IL and Mulberry Grove, IL plus having moved around with the military. Mr. Martin was a graduate of East Alton High School and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from SIU-Edwardsville and Carbondale and a Master's Degree in Recreational Management from SIU-Carbondale. He loved his King Charles Cavalier Spaniels, collected old Studebaker cars and was a hot air balloon enthusiast and also worked on a hot air balloon crew as a ground chaser.
Mr. Martin is survived by several cousins.
Memorials may be given to Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
