Dorothy (Woodruff) Osborn

Dorothy June Osborn, age 95, of Hillsboro IL passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Taylor Springs, IL. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro IL with the Very Rev. James L. Neuman, V.F. officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2017, from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro IL.  Burial will in St. Agnes Cemetery, Hillsboro IL.

Dorothy was born on November 11, 1921 at Hillsboro IL to the late Alton and Ruth (Ludwig) Woodruff.  She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School in 1939 and had worked as a bookkeeper and secretary. Her memberships included St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro, Altar & Rosary Society (Council of Catholic Women); Business & Professional Women and several card clubs. She was a St. Louis Cardinal fan (especially Yadier Molina) and enjoyed bowling, sewing, puzzles and her flowers. Most of her lifetime was spent in the Hillsboro IL area.

Her marriage to Carl Roland Osborn took place in Washington state on April 6, 1945 and he preceded her in death. Survivors include daughter, Nancy (husband Terry) Kalaher, Gillespie, IL, grandson, Vincent D. Osborn, sisters, Shirley Lewis, Hillsboro IL and Doris Hamilton, Taylor Springs, IL. Preceding were sister, Mary Kay Zeller, brothers, Alton Woodruff, Jr and Elwood "Woody" Woodruff.

Memorials are suggested to Montgomery County Cancer Association or Donor's Choice.
