Dorothy Mae (Nichelson) Davidson

Dorothy Mae Davidson, 92, of Girard, IL, formerly of Coffeen, IL, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at 8:20 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Village, Girard, IL.  Visitation will be Thursday, May 10, 2018, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home, Coffeen, IL.  Funeral services will be Thursday, May 10, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home, Coffeen, IL.  Burial will take place in Olive Hill Cemetery, Coffeen, IL.  Rev. Jeff Hemken, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Hillsboro, IL will officiate.

Mrs. Davidson was born on May 20, 1925, in Girard, IL, to the late George and Nettie (Blocher) Nichelson.  She was a 1943 graduate of Girard High School, Girard, IL and was a factory worker.  She married Hiram Merril "Slim" Davidson, on March 6, 1948, in Hillsboro, IL, and he preceded her in death on March 28, 2004.  Mrs. Davidson was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Hillsboro, IL.  She lived in Girard, IL, moving to Coffeen, IL in 1952 then back to Girard, IL in her later years.

Mrs. Davidson is survived by two step-children, Betty Knox and Robert Davidson, both of Springfield, IL; two grandchildren, Randy Hall and Denise Jeter, both of Springfield, IL; two great grandchildren; one sister, Mary L. Miller, Girard, IL and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Davidson was also preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be given to Calvary Baptist Church, Hillsboro, IL.
