My condolences to the Long family. Don was a true pioneer in soil conservation. As an additional opportunity to make a little extra money in the late 50's and 60's, my dad Dick Graden, built waterways and ponds with a two cylinder John Deere pulling a two yard earth mover. I "tagged along" and met Don when he checked dad's progress to see if the project met "specs". My dad had The utmost respect for Don for his demeanor, knowledge, personality and attitude. As a young farmer I also had the pleasure of working with Don on conservation practices on my farm. Don will be missed - my thoughts are with the family. Rick Graden

Martha,
I am a friend of Stans whose Mom recently passed away. My parents were married for 62 years... 67 years of getting to be with your best friend must have truly been a blessing. His physical presence may no longer be with you but the memories and love will remain forever. May Gods Love comfort you now and into eternity.
