Dixie Gutierrez, 82, of Taylor Springs, IL passed on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab in Taylor Springs, IL. A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Hillsboro Moose Lodge in Hillsboro, IL. A Memorial service with Moose Rites will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Hillsboro Moose Lodge in Hillsboro, IL. Father Daniel Willenborg, Pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL, will officate.
Mrs. Gutierrez was born March 17, 1935, in Hillsboro, IL, to the late Dale C. and Wilma M. (Dunkirk) Hart. She married Arthur “Art” Gutierrez on May 28, 1960 in Taylor Springs, IL. He survives in Taylor Springs, IL. She had worked as a Montgomery County Outreach Coordinator for C.E.F.S.. Mrs. Gutierrez was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL; Women of the Moose Lodge #1377 in Hillsboro, IL; V.F.W. Post #1306 Ladies Auxiliary in Taylor Springs, IL; Red Hat Society; Managed & coached her girls softball teams and she loved to dance.
Mrs. Gutierrez is survived by her husband, Art; three children, Arthur Gene Gutierrez, Jr; Marcia (husband Mike) Flowers of Texas & Chris (wife Sherri) Gutierrez of Hillsboro, IL; fifteen grandchildren, Lindsey (husband Duke) Dixon of Oklahoma; Kasey (husband Bradley) Havens of Texas; Rachel (husband Ryan) Duff of Donnellson, IL; Randy Harrell (Fiance’ Andrea Chesser) of Hillsboro, IL; Ryan Harrell of Texas; Rocky Gutierrez of Hillsboro, IL; Garrett Gutierrez of California; Shannon (husband Toby) Dobrinic of Litchfield, IL; Jennifer Balestri of Litchfield, IL; Kimberly Gutierrez of Litchfield, IL; Tres Gutierrez of Kansas; Thad (wife Kari) Gutierrez of Kansas; Aaron (wife Alyssa) Flowers of Texas; Ashley Hartman of Irving, IL & Britney Hartline of Hillsboro, IL; twenty-eight great grandchildren and four siblings, Linda (husband Richard) Hewitt, Hillsboro, IL; Bob Hart (friend Jill Twiss) of Iowa; Penny (husband Steven) Denham, Aurora, CO & Debbie (husband Lewis) Jarden, Nashville, IL. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Jessica “Angel” Harrell on March 14, 2010.
