Dennis Dean

Dennis Dean, age 63, of Nokomis IL passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis MO.  Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro IL is in charge of arrangements.  A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Hillsboro IL with Rev. Jeff Hemken, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate.

Dennis was born on January 6, 1954 at Red Bud IL to Clifford and Marie (Brumley) Dean.  His father, Clifford Dean survives and his mother, Marie Dean is deceased.  He was a graduate of Vandalia High School in Vandalia, IL.  He had worked in commercial maintenance and retired from Lillibridge.  Service to his country was with the US Marine Corp where he was discharged in August, 1979.  Dennis was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL, where he was leader of Missions Team’s Illinois State Baptist Association Disaster Relief;  also taught Sunday School Class

He married Tina Marie Schuman on May 7, 2012 in Missouri and she survives at Nokomis IL; Also surviving are children, Ann Marie (husband Richard) Gates, Jayce (husband Caleb) Barnett & Lenzi Dean; Step-children, Michael Moore, Anastasia Moore; grandchildren, Emily (husband Morse) Hames, Zac (wife Haley) Gates,Kaylie Gates, Deegan Smith, Addilyn Swafford, Brylee Moore, Jase Moore & Ariah Moore; and six great grandchildren.
