Chester O. Snow

Chester O. Snow, age 84, of Coffeen IL, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 8:05 a.m. at Montgomery Nursing and Rehab Center, Taylor Springs, IL. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home, Coffeen, IL with Pastor Harry Kirk, pastor of Liberty Church, Bingham, IL officiating. .  Visitation will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, Fillmore, IL. 

Chester was born on April 2, 1933 in Bond County, IL to the late Asa and Fern (Kell) Snow. He was a graduate of Coffeen High School and had served in the Army.  He worked for CIPS for 25 years and had also farmed.  He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Coffeen, and belonged to the Operating Engineers Local. 

His marriage to Patricia Freeman took place on August 31, 1955 at Aurora IN and she survives in Coffeen.  Also surviving are son, Steven L.(wife, Sue)  Snow, Hillsboro IL; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Snow, Bingham, IL and Donald Snow, Jacksonville, IL.  Preceding were daughters, Donna Janell "Jan" Lowe, Julianne Vittitow, two infants and brother, Benny Snow.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.
