Barbara Lynn (Ward) Terneus

Barbara Lynn (Ward) Terneus, 70, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at 10:20 p.m. at Tremont Ridge Assisted Living Facility, Hillsboro, IL.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL.  Burial will take place in Wares Grove Cemetery, rural Butler, IL.  Mark Noyes of Hillsboro, IL will officiate.

Mrs. Terneus was born on February 7, 1947 in Hillsboro, IL to the late Howard Ward and Dorothy (Davis) Ward.  She attended Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, IL, was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hillsboro, IL and was a housewife.  Mrs. Terneus lived in the Hillsboro, IL area most of her life.  She married David Dobrinic and they later divorced.  She married Larry Joseph Terneus on September 26, 1983 in Hillsboro, IL and he preceded her on May 1, 2011.

Mrs. Terneus is survived by two daughters, Shelly (husband Doug) Fenton of Hillsboro, IL and Melissa (husband Paul) Sellers of Hillsboro, IL; five grandchildren, Tiffany (husband Matthew) Reitz, Jacob Fenton, Caitlin Fenton, Fallon Sellers, and Sophie Sellers; one great-grandson, Bryer Reitz; two sisters, Sharon Lohman of Hillsboro, IL and Mary Ann (husband John) Crayton of Indiana; one brother, Howard Moray Ward of Wichita Falls, TX; and several nieces and nephews. 

Mrs. Terneus was also preceded in death by a nephew, Todd Lohman.

Memorials may be given to the donor's choice.
