William "Bill" Paul Meyer

William "Bill" P. Meyer, 74, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Tuesday, December, 19, 2017 at 10:15 a.m. at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.  A Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL.  Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL.  Rev. Ralph Ward, Hillsboro, IL, will officiate.

Mr. Meyer was born on February 14, 1943, in Hillsboro, IL to the late Arthur John and Rita Aline (Warnsing) Meyer.  He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, IL and worked in building services for SIU-Edwardsville; raised cattle; and was a farmer.  He was a member of the Illinois National Guard.  He married Jean Edwards on February 7, 1970 in Clinton, IL and she survives in Hillsboro, IL.

Mr. Meyer is survived by two children, Christopher Paul (wife Molly) Meyer of Hillsboro, IL and Amy Hancock of Litchfield, IL; beloved Grandfather of Ryan and William Meyer and Katelyn and Rhees Hancock; two brothers, Robert Meyer of Clinton, IL and Thomas Meyer of Arkansas; sister-in-law, Nancy Meyer; and nieces and nephews, Lisa (husband Mike) Schilliger, Teresa (husband Scott) DeStasio, Kimberly Meyer, Jamison (wife Meggan) Holt, Tim (wife Angela) Meyer, Michael Meyer, Richard Meyer, Joshua (wife Erin) Fort, and Curtis (wife Valerie) Holt.

Mr. Meyer was also preceded in death by a brother, Earl Meyer.

Memorials may be given to the Donor's choice.
