Thelma Nadine (Cruthis) Draper

Thelma Nadine Draper, 88, of Butler, IL passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at 8:10 p.m. at St. Francis Hospital, Litchfield, IL, surrounded by her family.  Visitation will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL.  Burial will be in Wares Grove Cemetery, Butler, IL.  Rev. John Jaffry, Pastor of Wares Grove Lutheran Church, Butler, IL will officiate.

Mrs. Draper was born on April 2, 1929, to the late Uley George and Elsie (Lake) Cruthis.  She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, IL.  She married Donald L. Draper on August 5, 1951, at Sorento Methodist Church, Sorento, IL, and he preceded her in death on December 18, 2006.  Mrs. Draper worked as a Secretary/Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of the Hillsboro Unit School District for 45 1/2 years.  She was a member of Wares Grove Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aide of Wares Grove.  Mrs. Draper was an avid bird watcher, all about her family and loved spending time with her family.

Mrs. Draper is survived by four children, Pamela (husband Michael) Hiller, Hillsboro, IL; Tammy (husband Charles) Bishop, Cantrall, IL; Nancy Draper (companion William Mayes), Springfield, IL and Terry (wife Karen) Draper, Butler, IL; seven grandchildren, Whitney Reynolds, Shelby Martincic, Chelsey Hiller, Ben Bishop, Brian Bishop, Brianne Bishop and Donovan Draper; six great grandchildren, Chloe Martincic, Calie Martincic, Cason Martincic, Cohen Martincic, Avery Reynolds and Ella Reynolds; one sister, Ruby (Fern) Winkler, Hillsboro, IL and special friend, Dale Chesnut.

Mrs. Draper was also preceded in death by her step-father, Clyde Meyer; two sisters, Sherilyn (Sheri) Dolash and Virginia Cruthis and one brother, Victor Cruthis.

Memorials may be given to Hillsboro Education Foundation, Wares Grove Cemetery or Galactosemia Foundation.
