Ruth Ann Simon, 86, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 2:49 p.m. at Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Taylor Springs, IL. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL is in charge of private services with burial in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Nokomis, IL. Mrs. Simon was born on January 30, 1928, to the late Arthur & Martha (Brandhorst) Paulsmeyer of Hoffman, IL. She married Rev. Donald E. Simon on June 4, 1950 in Hoffman, IL. He preceded her in death on May 23, 2004. Mrs. Simon was a homemaker and a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Litchfield, IL. She was a graduate of Carlyle High School, Carlyle, IL. Mrs. Simon is survived by two daughters, Martha (husband Allen) Ruppert, Hillsboro, IL; Linda Kottke, Eaton, OH and two sons, Fred (wife Sue) Simon, Bellevue, NE and Paul Simon, Phoenix, AZ; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one brother, Dean Paulsmeyer, Hoffman, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rev. Donald E. Simon and one grandchild.
