Roy Lamar Loucks

Lamar Loucks, 83, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at 9:40 p.m. at Vibra Hospital, Springfield, IL.  Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL with Rosary at 3:30 p.m.  Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro, IL with The Very Reverend James L. Neuman, Pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro, IL officiating.  Burial will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery, Hillsboro, IL.

Mr. Loucks was born on October 20, 1932, to the late Roy H. and Minnie May (Suits) Loucks.  He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School.  He was a farmer and lived his entire life in Hillsboro, IL.  He married Helen Ohren on July 14, 1956, in Litchfield, IL, and she survives in Hillsboro, IL.  Mr. Loucks was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro, IL; member and past leader of Montgomery County 4H; Prime Timers; Lincoln Land Chorus and Barber Shop Quartet.  He enjoyed boating, loved animals and watching his grandchildren participate in music and sports.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Loucks is survived by four children, David (wife Robin) Loucks, Karen (husband Paul) Donham, Paul (wife Tracy) Loucks, and Diane (husband Steve "Chops") Jacob, all of Hillsboro, IL; eight grandchildren, Kyle Loucks, Nathan (wife Allyson) Loucks, Megan (husband Josh) Reams,Taylor Donham, Adam Loucks, Joey Loucks, Noah Jacob and Kendra Jacob; two great grandchildren, Charlotte Reams and Nolan Loucks; two brothers, Clarence (wife Royanne) Loucks, and Lloyd Douglas (wife Christine) Loucks, and one aunt, Dora Attebery, all of Hillsboro, IL.

Memorials may be given to the Hillsboro High School Operetta or PAWS Care of Montgomery County.
