Ronald William Wright, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 1:15 p.m. at Missouri Baptist Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL, with Rev. Randy Sands, Pastor of Free Methodist Church, Hillsboro, officiating. Burial will be in Olive Hill Cemetery, Coffeen, IL. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 9, 2015, from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ron was born on August 18, 1947, at Pana, IL a son of the late Carl and Lorene (Gibson) Wright. He was a graduate of Nokomis High School, Class of 1965 and Brown's Business College. He had served in the Air National Guard. He was a member of Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce & enjoyed being a businessman and entrepreneur. Ron had lived at Nokomis, Coffeen and was a resident of Hillsboro for the past eight years.
His marriage to Becky Nelson was at Nokomis, IL on October 12, 1969 and she survives at Hillsboro. Also surviving are three children, Aimee (husband Bruce) Shelton, Hillsboro IL; Andrew (wife Lindsey) Wright, Chatham IL; Amanda (husband Kyle) Cress, Hillsboro IL; six grandchildren, Zach Shelton and Alex Shelton, Hillsboro; Andrew "A.J." Wright, Jr. and Alexa Wright, Chatham; Kaelin Cress and Ethan Cress, Hillsboro. He was preceded by one sister, Elaine Elliot and one brother in infancy.
