Ronald G. Daniels

Ronald Gene Daniels, 78, of Coffeen, IL passed on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen, IL.  A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at 11:30 a.m., at Shiloh Cemetery in Coffeen, IL.  Rev. Tim Logue, Pastor of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Coffeen, IL, will officiate.  Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery in Coffeen, IL.  

Mr. Daniels was born July 6, 1939, in Coffeen, IL, to the late Charles Leroy Daniels and Hazel J. (White) Daniels Young.  He married Diana Hoog, on June 10, 1961, in Litchfield, IL.  She survives in Coffeen, IL.  Ron had worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Operating Engineers Local #520 in Swansea, IL.  He was a member of the NRA; Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Coffeen, IL and he loved to trap shoot, hunt, fish and watch Cardinal Baseball.

Along with his wife, Mr. Daniels is survived by three sons, Mike (wife Nora) Daniels of Virden, IL; Chad (wife Michelle) Daniels of Carlyle, IL; Tory (wife Shannon) Daniels of Coffeen, IL; five grandchildren, Taylor Daniels, Tad Daniels, Jessica Daniels, Ethan Daniels & Johnny Giller; three great grandchildren, Khloe Everet, Hunter Giller & Joey Giller.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his step father, Frank Young.
