Naomi Jean (Elam) Westbrook, 76, of Garland, TX, formerly of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017, at 5:54 a.m. at Golden Acres Nursing Facility, Dallas, TX. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL.
Mrs. Westbrook was born on February 7, 1941, in Vandalia, IL, to the late James Richard Elam and Lela (Probst) Elam Sharp. She was a 1958 graduate of Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, IL and performed secretarial work for 40 years. Mrs.Westbrook lived in Van Burensburg, IL; Donnellson, IL; Hillsboro, IL; Dallas, TX; Berlin, Germany; Durango, Mexico; and Garland, TX during her lifetime. She married Richard L. "Deke" Westbrook on June 21, 1958 in Donnellson, IL and they later divorced.
Mrs. Westbrook is survived by two daughters, Trisha Westbrook and Kerri Jean (Westbrook) (husband David) Tropp of Garland, TX; one grandchild, Mackenzie (Tropp) (husband Ryan) Turner; two great-grandchildren, Lydia and Audrey Turner; a sister, Shirley (Elam) (husband Gary) Edwards of Litchfield, IL; and a brother-in-law, Marc Thomson of Hillsboro, IL.
Mrs. Westbrook was also preceded in death by a son and one sister, Loretta (Sharp) Thomson.
