Mildred "Judy" J Rappe

Mildred J. “Judy” (Johnson) Rappé (87) passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2015 with her family at her side. Judy was at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois at the time of her death.  A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Inurnment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.  A luncheon will follow in the basement at St. Agnes Catholic Church.

Judy was born to Everett and Charlotte Johnson (nee Weingand) on August 4, 1927 in Hillsboro, IL. She married the love of her life, Patrick Rappé of Taylor Springs, IL. Pat and Judy moved to Brookfield, Wisconsin in 1964 and retired to Sebring, Florida in 1986. Several years after Pat’s death, Judy moved to Warrenville, Illinois where she resided for 10 years with her son, Tim, until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Earnest Everett “Tiny” Johnson, Carl Cline, sister Ruby Marie Mitchell, husband, Pat and her beloved daughter, Lori Ellen Rappé (Brezinski).

Judy spent her life in loving service to her husband of 51 years, four children, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. This world has lost a kind, generous and loving soul. Somewhere she is laughing and playing really bad golf with those who have been waiting.

Judy is survived by her sons Rick (Gail) Rappé of Hudson, WI, David Rappé of Hartford, WI, Tim (Andrea) Rappé of Warrenville, IL, grandchildren Jessica, Austin (Daryl), Jed (Ambre), Noah (Mindy), Justin, Timmon, Chance, McGwire and great grandchildren Lorelei, Thor, Josie, Chase and Caiden.

In lieu of flowers, it was Judy’s wish that donations be made to the Lori Rappé Women’s Philanthropy Council Great People Scholarship Fund; 1848 University Avenue, Madison, WI 53708. Questions can be directed to Martha Taylor at 608-263-4545.
