Mary Kathryn Reck, 89, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016 at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab Center in Taylor Springs, IL.  A visitation will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL.  Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 16, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL.  The Very Rev. James L. Neuman, Pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.

Mrs. Reck was born, on February 5, 1927, to the late Andrew & Mary (Konya) Rohal.  She was a 1944 Graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL and a Graduate of Brown’s Business College.  She married Armando “Dutch” Reck on November 27, 1948 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL.  He preceded her in death on February 19, 1997.  Mrs. Reck had worked as a receptionist at Hillsboro Hospital in Hillsboro, IL and as a stenographer at the Unemployment Office in Litchfield, IL.  Mrs. Reck was a lifelong resident of Taylor Springs, IL and was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL and Council of Catholic Women.      

Mrs. Reck is survived by her three children, Joe (wife Bobbie) Reck of St. Elmo, IL; Margaret “Margie” (husband Richard) Stewart of Hillsboro, IL & Olivia “Libby” Brown of Coffeen, IL; eight grandchildren, Luke (wife Angie) Lyerla; Jamie Lee Welzbacher; Geoff Lant; Jason Stewart; Jennifer Stewart Branum; Caleb Reck; Logan Reck  & Madison Reck; five great grandchildren, Sheridan Lyerla, Preston Lyerla, Morgan Welzbacher, Madelyn Branum & Jaxon Reck and one sister, Patricia Parker of Nokomis, IL.

Memorials are suggested to Montgomery Nursing & Rehab Center in Taylor Springs, IL
