Mabel Louise Farrar, 86, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab in Taylor Springs, IL..Cremation rites were accorded. No services are planned at this time.
Mrs Farrar was born on October 28, 1928, in Owaneco, IL, to the late Fremont & Lois (Dorr) Jones. She is a graduate of Litchfield High School in Litchfield, IL. She married Francis Farrar on November 2, 1968. He preceded her in death on December 8, 2014. Mrs. Farrar owened and operated a restaurant, "Chicken Hut", in Memphis, TN.
Mrs. Farrar is survived by her children, Michael (wife Jennifer) Rottinghaus of Greenbrier, AR; Patricia Niehaus of Hillsboro, IL; Katherine Robinson of Litchfield, IL; Dennis (wife Patti) Farrar of Brandon, FL; Janet (Cal Saunders) Ragland, Oviedo, FL & Kim Blue, Oviedo, FL; nine grandchildren; eighteen great -grandchildren; bothers & sisters: Eugene (wife Marge) Jones of Scottsdale, AZ; Shirley (husband Melvin) Wempen of Morrisonville, IL & Mary Carol (husband Carl) Simmons, Oden, IL; & a sister-in-law, Betty (husband Lloyd) Nail of Litchfield, IL. Along with her parents and husband Mrs. Farrar was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Farrar & one brother, Robert Jones.
