Loren A. Trost, 79, of Eureka, MO, formerly of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017, at St. Andrews at St. Francis Place in Eureka, MO. Memorial Services will be Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL. Inurnment will be at St. Agnes Cemetery, Hillsboro, IL. The Very Rev. James L. Neuman, V.F., Pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro, IL, will officiate.
Mr. Trost was born on October 26, 1937, to the late Harold and Linda (Fravala) Trost. He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School, attended 2 years of college at SIU-Carbondale, where he played on the golf team and attended Ranken Technical College, St. Louis, MO, attaining a certificate in H-Vac. Mr. Trost married Jeannette L. Chausse on April 25, 1964, in Nokomis, IL, and she preceded him in death on November 11, 2012. He retired from CIPS Power Station, Coffeen, IL as a repairman. He was a member of Hillsboro Moose Lodge #1377, Hillsboro Country Club and loved to golf. Mr. Trost served in the Air National Guard and lived in Hillsboro his entire life.
Mr. Trost is survived by one daughter, Kristy (husband Mark) Zimmer, Wildwood, MO; one son, Doug (wife Harumi) Trost, Edmonds, WA; and four grandchildren, Kendall Zimmer, Avery Zimmer, Monica Trost and Mila Trost.
