Larry Francis Golladay, Sr., 74, of Mt. Juliet, TN, formerly of Schram City, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Lebanon Memorial University Hospital, Lebanon, TN. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL. Burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hillsboro, IL. Rev. Jerry Woods, Pastor of First United Pentecostal Church, Schram City, IL will officiate.
Mr. Golladay was born on February 27,1943, in Danville, IL to the late James and Lillie (Hayes) Golladay. He worked as a tool man for Caterpillar in Decatur, IL. Mr. Golladay lived in the Decatur and Hillsboro, IL areas and the Lebanon and Mt. Juliet, TN areas during his lifetime. He married Carol Irene Copple on December 23, 1959 in Decatur, IL and she preceded him on March 10, 2003. Mr. Golladay was a union member at Caterpillar.
Mr. Golladay is survived by three children, Larry (wife Martha) Golladay, Jr. of Mt. Juliet, TN, Mark Golladay of Jacksonville, TN, and Laurie (husband Kelly) Jessop of Americus, GA; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Patricia Nihiser of Decatur, IL, Carol Brownlee of Latham, IL, and Janet Ferguson of Ashmore, IL, and one brother, Ron Golladay of Charleston, IL.
Mr. Golladay was also preceded by three brothers and two sisters.
